Kate & Chad Clower - Owners

Kate and Chad Clower are owner/operators of Red Arrow Wellness Inc. and their sister company Chad Clower Speech-Language Pathologist Professional Corporation. 

Kate was born and raised in Thunder Bay, ON and is a proud Indigenous Canadian being a member of the Red Sky Metis Independent Nation.

Kate and Chad are both Speech-Language Pathologists and have been practising SLPs since 2008. 

Kate and Chad have lived in Thunder Bay since 2009 where they have raised their two beautiful boys. 

The Clowers are passionate about health and wellness and supporting Thunder Bay and Northwestern, Ontario. They also have a deep love for hockey, the outdoors and enjoying family and friends. 

Sarah Tinkler-Josephi -  Speech-Language Pathologist Senior Lead

Sarah Tinkler-Josephi is a registered speech language pathologist (SLP) with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC). She earned her Master’s of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from the University of Alberta in 2009. 

Sarah was born and raised in Thunder Bay and has worked professionally in Thunder Bay and Toronto. 

 

Sarah is passionate and is dedicated towards increasing her knowledge and expertise in various areas related to speech-language pathology assessment and treatment protocols, ensuring her ability to provide current, client-centred and evidence-based treatment. She is extremely excited to be providing services in her hometown of Thunder Bay and across NWO to those in need.

Hailey Giles - Speech-Language Pathologist

Hailey Giles was born and raised in London, Ontario where she completed her undergrad at Western University. She then moved to Barrie to undergo the Communicative Disorders Assistant program at Georgian College before moving to Scotland to pursue her Master’s Degree.

 

Hailey completed her Master’s of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh is now registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). Hailey completed her Master’s dissertation on the effectiveness of tele-practice in speech-language pathology and is very passionate about the  versatility and positive outcomes virtual services can provide.

 

Hailey is excited to provide personalised and client-centred services to her future clients.

Jory Spring - Occupational Therapist Senior Lead

Jory is a Thunder Bay local who completed his Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology at Lakehead University in 2012. He then went on to complete his Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at Queen’s University in 2014.

 

Since that time, he has worked in both the public and private sector offering a variety of OT services including pediatric OT assessment and treatment, home safety assessments, mobility devices assessment, motor vehicle accident rehabilitation, ergonomic assessments, and assessment of home/vehicle modification needs.

 

Jory spent time specializing in providing clinical services to children at the George Jeffrey Children’s Centre where he worked and assisted in developing the home and vehicle modification program.

 

Jory is an authorized Assistive Devices Program (ADP) provider and can assess and prescribe walkers, manual wheelchairs, and power mobility. 

Jory draws experience from his previous work to help serve his active clients in their rehabilitation to promote total independence.

 

Jory is an active member of the community and enjoys playing golf, hockey, and hiking with his dog Bear.

Angela Jewett - Occupational Therapist 

Ange is a registered Occupational Therapist (OT) with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) who was born and raised in Atikokan, Ontario. Ange obtained her Masters of Occupational Therapy in 2008 from the University of Manitoba and has been providing OT services to children and families in the district of Thunder Bay for 15 years. 

Ange has a passion for supporting children and their families to participate in everyday activities and values creating meaningful connections to help children attain their goals! 

In Ange's spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends while enjoying the vast beauty of the wilderness in Thunder Bay and surrounding communities, believing that time spent amongst the trees is always time well spent.

Jen Bertoni - Occupational Therapist

Born and raised on the traditional lands of the Fort William First Nation, in a city now known as Thunder Bay, Jen is an Indigenous occupational therapist who is dedicated to providing equitable occupational therapy services to people in northwestern Ontario. 

 

Jen has worked in a variety of clinical environments including acute care, tertiary and community-based settings. She is a clinical consultant and a regional clinical lead for mental health and substance use in the northwest and is an advocate for implementing trauma-informed and culturally safer philosophies as actional steps towards social justice. 

Jen brings a two-eyed seeing approach to her clinical work- by leveraging the strengths of both the western world of academia and health care with her living experience as a Metis woman. 

Deanna Ward - Social Worker Senior Lead

Deanna is a Registered Social Worker who was born, raised, and educated in Thunder Bay.  She has been practicing social work for the past thirty-two years, graduating from Lakehead University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts and Honours Bachelor of Social Work degree. Her entire career has focused on working with children, youth, and their families.  She has provided social work services to a wide array of clients, including those who have special needs, developmental and neurodiversity challenges.

 

Deanna is passionate about healthy child development, inclusivity, advocacy and supporting others to be the best version of themselves. She has an extensive knowledge of local and provincial service systems and is an effective navigator.  Deanna practices from a trauma-informed, child and family centric lens and loves to connect with kids and families in a safe, fun and non-judgemental way.  She is honoured to join others on their life journey through her involvement with the Red Arrow Wellness team!  

Outside of her work, Deanna loves being a mom to her three fabulous, grown children and grandma to her two (so far!) grandkids.  She loves to bake, read, play boardgames, travel and spend time at the lake.    

 

Deanna is excited to join the RAW team and is inspired by the vision and scope of services and support we will provide together.

Kaelyn McCallum - Music Therapist 

Kaelyn is a board certified music therapist and registered Music Therapist Accredited (MTA). She is a member of the Canadian Association of Music Therapists and a recent graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University's Honours Bachelor of Music Therapy program, completed in 2022. Kaelyn completed her internship with "Connecting In Rhythm" working with an array of populations such as Deafblind adults and youth, children with various disabilities, and people of all ages that have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). In her practicum's within her school years she worked with long-term care residents and adult's a part of the disability community. 

 

Kaelyn is from Thunder Bay and is excited to be back and able to serve the NWO communities after her scholarly pursuits in Southern Ontario. She is very passionate about creating a safe, non-biased place in her practice to serve each client as best as she possibly can. Her approach is music, client and family-centred as well as holistic, meeting each client where they are and developing goals they wish to reach in different areas of their lives!

 

In her spare time Kaelyn enjoys getting active through sports and working out as well as exploring the beautiful hiking trails NWO has to offer us! Kaelyn is working to improve her American Sign Language constantly as well as her musicianship and songwriting skills to better any future clients and herself.

Megan Kane - Communication Disorders Assistant/Therapy Assistant

Megan was born and raised in Thunder Bay, She has worked in various roles with youth for over 10 years. She is very passionate about working with youth and their families in the community, as well as adult populations. 

 

Megan has completed the Social Service Work program at Confederation College then went on to complete her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay. She then moved to Southern Ontario to undergo the Communication Disorders Assistant program at Durham College. 

 

She has a passion for Augmentative and Alternative Communication and the use of technology as a communication aid. She is very excited to apply her knowledge to improve the functionality of clients lives. 

 

In my spare time Megan enjoys spending time with her friends, family and dogs while exploring the beauty of Thunder Bay!

Jodi Hamlin - Therapy Assistant

Jodi was born and raised in Thunder Bay, ON.

 

She has been working in child development and rehabilitation for over 25 years holding various roles and responsibilities from administration, direct therapeutic intervention and mentorship.

 

She loves connecting with clients, and is

passionate about making sure children learn, develop and thrive through a fun positive

environment to reach their full potential.

 

In her spare time, Jodi enjoys spending time with her husband Jack of 30 years, her two sons and soon to be daughter in laws.

 

She is looking forward to meeting new clients and building lasting relationships with those in the community.

Jaime Foster - Therapy Assistant

Jaime Foster was born and raised in Kenora, Ontario. Jaime began her career as a RECE. Jaime has gained significant experience and knowledge working in the Early Years program from ages 1-12 years old. This has given Jaime the extensive knowledge of learning and understanding child development to create learning opportunities through play and exploration.

Jaime next moved to Thunder Bay to complete her bachelor’s degree in Sociology at Lakehead University.

After the completion of University, Jaime began working in the pediatric rehabilitation field providing family-centered services for children ages 0-6years.

Working in the motor skills pathway, Jaime was able to help children meet the challenges of daily life and prepare for school by improving physical strength, fine motor skills and developing communication skills in the child care settings within the city of Thunder Bay.

 

Jaime enjoys working collaboratively with children and their families and partner agencies in our community. Her 25 years of experience has given her the tools to develop different programs and pathways to better serve the children, families and the community. 

 

Jaime believes that it is important to recognize and celebrate the small wins in life, as this can be a significant impact on children’s overall happiness and well-being. 

 

In Jaime’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family but mostly with her Husband and two dogs Madeline and Otis, especially in the summer months when we can be out on the lake to go fishing and taking boat rides.
